Exciting Teaching Positions
Currently Available!
Through our Teacher Placement Service, you will have access to teaching
positions worldwide. For a taste of what will be available to you
after you graduate, please check out our Graduate
Opportunities.

Available exclusively to our graduates, at no additional cost,
the Teacher Placement Service provides assistance with finding the
most rewarding teaching jobs at ESL schools around the world. We
have formed partnerships with many ESL schools worldwide that are
searching for certified ESL teachers. Our Teacher Placement Advisors
provide timely job placement assistance to help make your experiences
teaching overseas as successful and rewarding as possible. After
completing our certification course, you receive six months of free
service to be used anytime after finishing the course.
The key to a successful teaching position is knowing what is best-suited
for you based on your own personal interests, financial needs, education
level, travel experiences, and of course, the actual job market.
It is imperative to decide what your priorities are, as different
countries offer drastically different living and teaching environments.
Here are some points to consider when choosing your destination:
Do you want to learn a particular language? Do you want to visit
cultural attractions or explore natural environments such as jungles,
deserts and/or rainforests? What types of climate do you prefer?
What are the typical working conditions and teaching hours? Do you
prefer to live in a large city or a small town? How much money will
you be able to save, taking into account such things as your salary,
the cost of living, and the cost of airfare?
After conducting this preliminary research and determining your
needs, here is a checklist of suggested steps to follow when contacting
our Teacher Placement Service:
Contact
the service approximately three months prior to the date you wish
to start teaching.
Decide which country is your first choice (preferably also have
a second and third choice selected). If you haven’t decided
yet, your Teacher Placement Advisor can offer information on the
job market in different countries and what your options are.
Send your resume and cover letter to our Teacher Placement Service.
You can email this material to placement@oxfordseminars.com.
Your resume should highlight your teaching-related skills and
your cover letter should focus on why you are applying to teach
in the country you have chosen.
You will then be assigned your own personal Teacher Placement
Advisor who will contact you to discuss your employment needs
and send your resume to the contacts we have in your country of
choice.
After receiving your resume and cover letter, school directors
and/or recruiters will contact you to discuss job offers.
After you have been offered a teaching position and received a
job contract, your advisor will answer any additional questions
or concerns you may have.

“The school that Oxford presented me with has been
just outstanding in accommodating their foreign teachers, and
I am extremely happy with taking on this adventure. I am very
thankful for this opportunity of a lifetime and without a doubt
Oxford has made it all possible. At the drop of a hat I would
recommend teaching English as a foreign language to anyone, young
and old alike.”
– P. Sullivan, Teaching in Wuhan, China
"I have just secured a position in Cuenca, Ecuador,
and start at the beginning of October. I'm looking forward to
teaching, speaking Spanish, exploring Inca ruins, and visiting
the Galapagos at the end of my six-month teaching term."
– C. Hare, Teaching in Cuena, Ecuador
